Asthma Champion Awards

Inaugural Asthma Foundation Awards now open for nominations

The Asthma Foundation of Queensland is heavily reliant upon the goodwill and generosity of so many in our community.  Without the support of the business community, donors and supporters and especially our volunteer partners the Foundation would not be the success it is today.

To acknowledge the tremendous support of individuals and groups within our community the Foundation’s Board is pleased to announce The Asthma Champions Annual Awards.  Each year starting in 2010 we will be recognising individuals and groups that have assisted the Foundation to support people with asthma and importantly acknowledge the tremendous partnership that exists between the Foundation and its volunteers and staff.

Three Awards have been created-:

The Asthma Foundation of Queensland Volunteer of the Year Award

will recognise a Foundation volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to our Foundation’s vision and a person who consistently demonstrates our Foundation’s  values

The Asthma Dedicated Service Award

is open to both staff and volunteers who have meritoriously contributed to the Foundation for a minimum of five years – a silver, gold and platinum award will be granted after each five years of continuous service.  More than one award can be issued in any one year

The Asthma Champion Community Support Award

is open to individuals, groups, business and supporters who have provided support to the Foundation and as such assisted us to achieve our goals on behalf of Queenslanders’ with asthma.
